Interscholastic athletics/activities are an integral and meaningful part of the overall education process. Our primary purpose is to complement and support the mission of the Springfield Public Schools by positively contributing to the academic achievement and persistence to graduation of our students, while at the same time providing opportunities for students to involve themselves in interscholastic athletics/activities.

The mission of the Springfield Public Schools activities program is to enhance the educational experiences of students and support the goals of the Springfield Public School District.

1. Improve the academic success of students by increasing the number of students participating in athletics/activities.
